La Crescenta Montessori was founded in 1984 by Irena Root. In 1989, Gail Amarasinghe, an experienced educator with a long history of teaching, became the owner. Ms. Amarasinghe, along with the help of our trained Montessori teachers, has helped to nurture and build our school into what it is today.

We strive every day to help each child unlock their potential. Children naturally want to learn, and we've created a safe and exciting space for them in which their minds are constantly stimulated. By instilling a healthy thirst for knowledge and helping your children to learn the building blocks of knowledge early on, we hope to make their lives, and through them the lives of everyone in the world, better.
